Educational Excellence

I started my career as a classroom teacher in Austin, Texas. Over 28 years, I pioneered multiage grouping and innovative ESL techniques at the elementary level in the United States, and founded New World International School in Oman. I have advised ministries and led educational transformation across the United States and the GCC — with additional academic collaboration with Singapore's Centre for Innovation in Education.

From launching New World International School from zero to 380+ students across 40+ nationalities in 3 years — during a global pandemic to designing Oman's national curriculum framework in partnership with the Ministry of Education, I have learned that sustainable change requires both deep expertise and genuine partnership.

KA Strategic was founded in 2023 to bridge the gap between educational excellence and investment intelligence in the GCC. I am currently completing my EdD at NYU Steinhardt, researching Professional Learning Communities and COVID-era teaching innovations — bringing the most current academic thinking into every engagement.

KA Strategic is the advisory expression of Teclution — an organization Kamilya co-founded in Austin, Texas in 2001, with operations later expanding into Oman.

Teclution was built around a singular long-horizon idea: that sustainable prosperity in the MENA region must be rooted in locally created intellectual property — not imported solutions. Starting with automation and controls, then expanding into science and engineering education, energy, and humanitarian engineering, Teclution's 100-year plan integrates education, technology, and economic growth into one interconnected vision.

The work began in schools and universities, building scientific expertise from the ground up. Educational services were launched through entities of Teclution.
